Joseph Augustus Zarelli (born August 28, 1957) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 23rd district from 2003 to 2015.
He attended West Chester University, earning a B.S. in Political Science.
Prior to his senate career, Zarelli served as a Chester County Commissioner from 1996 to 2003. During his time as a <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Chester%20County%20Commissioner">Chester County Commissioner</a>, he focused on initiatives related to public safety and infrastructure.
In the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Pennsylvania%20State%20Senate">Pennsylvania State Senate</a>, Zarelli represented the 23rd district, which includes portions of Chester and Delaware counties. He served on several committees, including Appropriations, Banking and Insurance, and Local Government. He was known for his fiscally conservative views and focus on property tax reform.
Zarelli did not seek re-election in 2014 and left office in 2015. He joined lobbying firm, Maverick Strategies and Mail, LLC in 2015.
